Walking along the beaches here, especially in winter, you often come across clumps of twisted up kelp. They are sometimes attached to rocks, and sometimes just in a big pile, reminding me of twisted up yarn! This colour is one of the many variants of Kelp that you see along our coast and in our oceans... Died on tweed, the dark and light neps of the tweed bring to mind the rocks that the kelp is often attached to!
